  1. I was born in Panama City, Panama
  2. After I was born, my mother found out that the President of Yugoslavia wife’s name was also JoVanka.  My mother’s friend named me.
  3. My name comes from a Hebrew word that means “God’s Grace“
  4. I have been on a basketball court for more than half of my life, playing and coaching
  5. My nicknames are Jobi, Jovi, J-dub, and J
  6. I am a middle child.  I have two brothers.  Lawrence (36) & Larry (30)
  7. My birthday is May 8.
  8. That makes me a Taurus
  9. My first car was Subaru Legacy – thank you, grandpa
  10. My dream car is a Mercedes CLK or M-Class SUV (need room for my princess)
  11. I prefer Cheeseburgers over Hotdogs
  12. And my favorite sandwich is a philly cheese steak from Philly.
  13. I played college basketball at Old Dominion and Hampton University
  14. I coached college basketball for over 10 years.  Last year I made a decision to take a job teaching and coaching at a middle school to spend more time with my family.
  15. I am a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
  16. If money were no object, my favorite hobby would be SHOPPING
  17. My favorite thing to wear – jeans
  18. I have over 150 pair of shoes
  19. I like to rotate my tires.  I spend a lot of time on my feet
  20. I have 15+ watches
  21. I am very Type A most of the time
  22. I like to know the time
  23. and the direction I’m traveling
  24. I prefer a navigation system not a map
  25. The part of my brain that relates a map to the land is missing
  26. I have a terrible sense of direction.  I am lost now. LOL
  27. I have had 6 surgeries
  28. and 2 broken bones – right hand and foot
  29. Those were not related to my sense of direction.
  30. My favorite meal is breakfast.
  31. If I could eat breakfast with anyone it would be Michael Jordan or Martin Luther King, Jr
  32. I don’t keep a diary
  33. I can swim, but I can’t remember who taught me
  34. I have never been skinny dipping.

  39. I wore braces on my teeth as an adult

  43. For a coin toss, I always call HEADS!!!! (The word of God says we are the head and not the tail so I have to claim what is written.)
  44. My favorite fruit is MANGO.
  45. I like to eat, but like to cook?

  47. My favorite thing to do with my daughter is hug and kiss
  48. I have to enjoy it while I can – Jaelynn is almost 2
  49. Hair Wrestle Mania –  would be my most challenging activity with her.

  52. I have never driven a boat, but I would like to

  54. My favorite movie is Love & Basketball
  55. My most embarrassing moment was on a basketball court
  56. I grew up playing recreational basketball with all boys and right before one of our basketball games I pulled my sweat pants down thinking I had my basketball shorts underneath and to my (and all the boys) surprise I was only wearing panties
  57. To this day, I wear shorts under my sweat pants no matter what I am doing.

  59. My favorite vacation spot is Spain (been there once to play ball, would like to take my family back)
  60. I don’t have a biggest fear, or maybe I do since I wear my shorts under my sweat pants

  89. I am satisfied with my weight, would like a little more muscle

  95. Ignorance frustrates me, especially ignorance in men.
  96. I became a Christian when I was 24.
  97. If I could change one thing about myself, it would be my decisions I have made without God’s guidance.
  98. One thing I like about myself is my ability to overcome the odds and persevere
