I turn 63 tomorrow, and I have tried to watch my diet; however, I do not “feel” healthy and have not for some time. I have decided I need to return to a more structured regimen to stay fit. My time is flexible since I retired in June, so I have purchased, and very reasonably, I might add, a fitness club membership for seniors. I started today, the last day of year 62. I feel so much better already! What a coincidence that I just read this strongmothers post!! Or, maybe not a coincidence, but affirmation! Thank you to Nif and all!!

The thing that took me forever to learn is to eat breakfast…. each and every day. Now that I do, I feel better and healthier.

To promote healthy living daily, I make sure I do some type of cardiovascular activity. I also journal and read at least one meditation every morning and one in the middle of the day. I have realized that happiness doesn’t just come from devoting time to my physical self. I have to devote time to God when I first get up in the morning. By turning things over to Him, I can concentrate on things that are important to me like physical activity and wellness.

Does eating chocolate every day count?
